Three Golf Layout Options

Further excitement at Pelican Pointe is offered by its 27-hole golf course which was voted as the No. 1 semi-private golf course in Venice for 2010, an accolade it consistently received for many years in the past. There are three golf course options at Pelican Pointe, all of which have no parallel fairways, thus isolating the flights of golfers. This feature ensures privacy and player concentration often required in the game.

The championship layout is a Ted McAnlis design consisting of 18 holes of golf in the Meadows and the Preserve nines, which both opened in 1995, and in the Hatchet, which had its debut in 2002. 18 hole yardage varies from a novice-friendly 5,326 yards to a challenging 7,182 yards. The different course combination’s enable golfers options on a variety of golf hole designs suited to their individual skills. USGA course ratings vary at the Pelican Pointe layout from 66.9 to 74.5. Excellent practice facilities are provided, among which are separate putting and chipping greens, and a green side practice bunker. The club has a trained staff for individual golf lessons and clinics.

The initiation fee for golf membership at the club starts at $2,500 under a gateway plan. Pelican Pointe has initiated a membership procedure aiming at the conversion of the club from a semi-private to a private status. Non-equity memberships are offered with no obligation or requirement of any capital assessments. Residents of the community are entitled to a social membership providing privileges on the use of the tennis courts, fitness room, and pool, as well as access to all of the dining facilities and private social events at the club house.

Pelican Pointe Homes for Sale

The residential community is a gated enclave consisting of several neighborhoods. Among these are Pelican Pointe 1 and 2, the Sanctuary, the Links, the Arbors, and the Villas, all of which are interspersed with wetlands, ponds, and some of the finest designs in landscaping. There are 1,355 home sites and villas within the aesthetically built community. The abundant lakes in Pelican Pointe afford most homes with a water view.

Residences were constructed by two of the best home builders in Florida, Sam Rodgers and Arthur Rutenberg. Properties listed for sale can vary widely in terms of size and prize range. A single family home with about 2,800 square feet of floor area can have an asking price around the $650s. A well-maintained villa with living space of about 1,165 square feet can carry a price tag in the vicinity of the $170s level.

As a deed-restricted community, each neighborhood is governed by a homeowners association which typically meets every month. There is also a master homeowners’ association which is in charge of maintenance of common areas, security, protection of ponds and wetlands and set standards for landscaping and architecture.

Any which way Pelican Pointe is examined, its properties hence appear as ideal purchase options. The golf community has well-developed and well-maintained neighborhoods, residences are superbly built, and club facilities and amenities are excellent. The golf and country club is also only a short distance away from other areas of interest within the Gulf Coast, thereby capping all the favorable points for owning real estate in Pelican Pointe.
