Upcoming Events Near Sarasota for Halloween 2015
Sarasota is gearing up for the spookiest time of year and you’re going to want to join in the fun! The city is hosting several Halloween events to celebrate this fall season with ghost tours, pumpkin festivals, and more. Whether you’re looking for something to do with the whole family or you just want to check out a haunted attraction with your friends, there are a ton of great options in the Sarasota area. Here is a look at where to go this Halloween season for a spooky and fun time.
Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat – 208 Palm Avenue, Nokomis
Head over to Venice-Nokomis United Methoddist Church in Nokomis to take part in the Fall Festival. It’s a one day event taking place the weekend before Halloween. On Sunday October 25th, bring the family out at 10am to the festival with Trunk or Treat starting at 11:45am. You’ll get hot dogs, games to play, face paintings, inflatables and so much more.
Boo fest – 5895 Post Boulevard, Lakewood Ranch
The Premier Sports Campus at Lakewood Ranch is going to be hosting a spectacular Boo fest fall festival on Friday, October 30th at 6pm. The fall festival Boo fest is their annual Spooktacular Halloween Party but this year, there will be an upgraded Haunted House with 8 unique exhibits and shade characters. Try the dark maze, hay rides, photo booth, face painting and more! Plan to bring a bag for trick or treating and food and beverage will be for sale. Bring $5 to park and wear your costume.
Pumpkin Festivals
There are two pumpkin festivals going on near Sarasota. Check out the Fruitville Grove location at 7410 Fruitville Road featuring bounce houses, a petting zoo, hay rides, pony rides, a train, food and ice cream. This local farm also features a pumpkin patch and they will be hosting a pumpkin festival every weekend in October. Over at Payne Park is the Sarasota Pumpkin Festival going on from the 23rd until the 25th. They are located at 2050 Adams Lane featuring all of the same fun with carnival rides, pie eating contests and more.
