Halloween Events Found Near Sarasota

Fall is the time of year when people are out and there are so many events. It’s time for beautiful fall leaves, hot cocoa and spooky surprises. Sarasota is ready to provide you with some haunting activities in preparation for Halloween. Here are the best activities in the city this season.

The 2014 Frightmares Haunted House - 3000 Ringling Boulevard, Sarasota, FL

This October 16th-18th, check out the 2014 Frightmares Haunted House. It’s coming to the Sarasota County Fair Grounds and it’s sure to be a spooky fun time. It’s going to feature two attractions in one and it’s being called “The Biggest and Baddest EXTREME Haunted House this Side of the Grave.”

Tickets are $16 and it lasts from 7:30pm to 10:30pm on Thursday and 7:30pm to 11:30pm on Friday and Saturday. The good news is if you miss the first weekend, they’ll feature it again on October 23rd-26th and October 30th-November 1st.

Boo Fest Halloween Festival at Lakewood Ranch

On October 24th, Boo Fest Halloween Festival is coming to Lakewood Ranch. You’ll get to trick-or-treat on Main Street from 6pm to 9pm. They’ll have ghost stories from 7:30pm to 8:30pm and a costume parade at 6:30pm.  It’s going to be a fun and exciting event full of face paintings, a scarecrow contest, and the haunted house. Don’t miss this free event. Just take University Parkway east of I-75 to Lakewood Ranch Boulevard. Turn left and follow to Main Street.

Halloween Costume Party for Adults - 1375 Ringling Drive, Venice, FL

Adults can enjoy the holiday too. Come out to the Italian American Club of Venice for an adult Halloween costume party. Dress in an amazing costume to win prizes. They’ll have a cash bar, live music, and a buffet featuring “Boo-Boo Q” dinner. It’ll last from 6pm to 10pm on October 25th and cost $18 to $22.
