Circus Sarasota is Giving Back

Circus Sarasota was created to give back to the community and they do so through a community outreach program. This includes the Big Top Education program and Laughter Unlimited. Through the education program, students can learn about the creativity of the circus in a safe environment. This program helps stress how si-highlight--primary mathematics, technology and science.

Laughter Unlimited helps provide therapy for patients in hospitals, adult care centers and nursing homes. This is a great type of therapy for those needing a bit of a lift with clowns, musicians, entertainers and many volunteers helping to ensure this program provides laughter and fun for all patients.

Along with the community outreach programs, the circus features many programs and workshops for those interested in learning the inner workings of the circus. These include:

  • Trapeze Class Article
  • Home-school opportunities
  • Aerial Gym
  • Circus Art Classes
  • Circus Summer Camp

Sailor Circus

Known as The Greatest "Little" Show on Earth, this circus provides all types of performances. The performers are made up of many students and this is Americas oldest youth circus. With training programs for 4th to 12th grade, spectators enjoy great performances from the youngest performers in the area. Nik Wallenda is the feature of Circus Sarasota as a high wire walker. He's one of the most talented students in the show and performs with Enoch, Platchov Duo and Trio Moscow.

The Summer Circus Spectacular

Performing in Sarasota and providing plenty of fun over the summer, the circus will be held at Asolo Theater June 18th through August 3rd. Shows will be held Tuesday through Friday at 11am and 2pm. Saturday shows will be at 2pm and 5pm. This is an affordable show for the entire family and full of amazing stunts, performances and more.

Tickets for the show are $15 for adults and $10 for children. For an extra $5 per ticket, you can also enjoy a tour of The Ringling Circus Museum.
